iVAULT provides powerful editing capabilities that enable users to edit underlying database attributes. This module provides the ability to edit data related to spatial features within the GIS application framework.
Adminstrators can enable their organization in a number of ways from inline editing to sophisticated forms.
- Inline editing – Expose data fields in your web portal for updates within seconds.
- Form generator – Configure professional and highly functional forms within minutes with the form designer, just drag and drop.
- Plugin forms – Develop your own forms with complex business rules and insert them into the iVAULT framework.
Examples of use would be for capture of “as-Built” or “Capital Projects” or “Service Request” information :
- Capturing of “as-built” information may be better suited to the presentation of a preformatted form specifically designed for optimal field order and placement. iVAULT allows you to implement custom built forms, using the built-in form designer or using an external application.
- Capture of project costs for a “Capital project” may be better suited to single field entry within the iVAULT report. This simplifies the data for editing and is easily maintained through the iVAULT administrator.
- Capture of “service request” information is made easier for users trying to specify a location reference, i.e. “the pot hole is near the corner of my house, in front of the street light” vs accurate x,y coordinates on a map.
