The flexible database architecture of the iVAULT Administrator module will provide organizations with the ability to be self-sufficient when operating and maintaining the web GIS. The Administrator module provides a straight-out-of-the-box, turnkey solution that has over 100 configurable features that your organization can take advantage of with No Programming Experience Required!

Components of the Administration Module

The Administrator has been divided in to four key working areas.  The division of the application into these categories has evolved over years of web GIS application development and support.

This is just a sampling of some of the features available in the iVAULT Administrator:

The Site section provides Administrators with the ability to configure server specifications, to select from predefined colour themes for site branding and to generate your organization-specific colours for the web interface, select print options and revise the interface text to customize all messages presented to the end user.  Interface text can be internationalized to match the dominant language of the area you live in.

The Security section allows Administrators to authenticate users and to manage users and logins.  Users and Groups can be managed directly in iVAULT or integrated to Windows Active Directory groups for internal users effectively integrating GIS and IT user groups.  The Security section allows the organizations to access all functionality, grant access to specific attributes, map layers and reports.

The Data section allows administrators to work with your core data layers, such as cadastre (parcel) layers, road elements, land use zoning, buried utility layers and ortho imagery, and allows you to add or update any layers as needed without third party involvement or additional cost. Connect to many dynamic or tiled map services and define access to those maps based on the user.  Configure edit capabilities at the layer level and generate reports directly in the administrator level for capturing information about features.

The Tools section allows administrators to configure the Tool Bars and Tasks panels as well as set up detailed database searches.  A series of tools is available within iVAULT to allow users to generate Buffers, Redlines, Printing, Measuring and on-the-fly Map\ Database Queries to create thematic maps.  Enabling application-level integrations is also an option available within the tools menu.  All tools in iVAULT are role-based and can be assigned to a particular user group.  The framework is also capable of incorporating custom- developed tools.
